This project was aimed to build a brand that specializes in high-end cannabis products so it needed to feel classy but also inviting.
I was tasked to come up with a few concepts and consider the logo in 2 parts, the symbol and the name both as one piece but also should stand out separately. I focused on making the shapes into hands that look like they are praying in most of the concepts but in the end, the client went with a different concept designed by another colleague of mine.
We were then tasked with coming up with un-conventional ads that needs to grab attention quickly. Something that either looked great or gave a message within an instant. At the time I was experimenting with making graphic designs and animations in 3D using Cinema 4D so I thought this was the perfect time to put my skills into practice. The message I wanted to give is that by using this product, you break free from any attachments or things and feel elevated. This was supposed to be an ad targeted to get people to remember the brand and logo specifically. I experimented with dynamics in the 3D program and got the result I wanted having the brick fall while the logo is still showing making a strong impact as a high-quality product.
I also created 3D containers that were later presented on a few different websites/stores including a brand called Zenabis, where I also created that brand, graphics, website, photography, and more from the ground-up.
There were difficulties getting Cinema 4D dynamcis to work correctly (this is something many seasoned C4D artists have issues with too) and it meant more compositing needed to happen to hide imprefections. Unfortunately, I didn't fully complete this stage since it was decided to ditch these banner ads completely near the end of the project.
The project taught me many things about creating graphics and advertising materials using 3D software so this was a big step towards creating many more of these complex things that would normally be very hard to find or put together using stock materials. This way, I could actually put my visions into a working prototype quickly.
The client was very happy with the level of work but it was not used in any way since they had changed the entire project after completion.
